About Us
Formed
in February 2006, our group is made up of highly experienced members who
have been performing in the local area, with other societies, for many years
- membership is open and anyone with an interest can join... whether they
want to perform or work behind the scenes.
The Nomads' brief is to perform different styles of shows ranging through musical revues, pantomimes, plays to full blown musicals moving between different venues... hence the society's name.
Since we were founded we have staged two successful revue style shows Best Of British (2006) and Broadway And Beyond (2007), three extremely successful Pantomimes - Dick Whittington (2008), Jack And The Beanstalk (2009) and Aladdin (2010) - all at the Masque in Barton Seagrave in Northamptonshire.
In true nomadic style, we staged two highly successful productions Ye Olde Tyme Music Hall (2008) and the hilariously funny play An Evening With Gary Lineker (2009) at the Studio in The Castle in Wellingborough, and the perennially popular musical Anything Goes (2008) in the main theatre at the Castle.
Then it was back to the Masque to stage Stephen Sondheim's musical Into The Woods (2009), which received immense critical acclaim.
